On December 7, the 15,000th vehicle of the Chengdu branch of the FAW-liberation Qingdao Automobile Factory was rolled off the assembly line in its final assembly shop. The 15,000 liberation trucks of the Chengdu Branch of Qingqi Automobile have milestone significance. The 15,000 trucks off the assembly line represent a new leap for the Chengdu branch. It marks that the Westphasian Jiefang brand has made important breakthroughs and entered a new stage of development. As a production base for the emancipation of brands in the western region, the Chengdu branch plant has been put into operation for six years. It has actively exerted its geographical advantages, brought it close to the market, and responded quickly. It has accumulated production and sales of 48,000 liberation trucks, industrial output value reached 5.6 billion yuan, and profits and taxes reached 300 million yuan. It has made positive contributions to the expansion of trucks in the western region. In recent years, the sales volume of enterprises has gradually increased, and the competitiveness has been continuously improved. In 2007, the production and sales exceeded 5,000 units; in 2008, the production and sales exceeded 10,000 units; in 2009, the Chengdu factory seized market opportunities in a timely manner, focusing on the users and the market. Guided by continuous optimization of product structure, product competitiveness has been upgraded. In January-November, new achievements in production and sales exceeded 15,000 were achieved. 
For the future development, Wang Lizhi, general manager of FAW Jiefang Co., stated that in 2009, Jiefang Trucks achieved a historic breakthrough and product competitiveness and brand value were further enhanced in the domestic truck market. In 2010, the truck market will usher in a new round of growth. It also provides more strategic opportunities for the liberation of the western region. Therefore, in 2010, FAW will, as always, implement the strategy of liberating the western region and further rely on the geographical advantage of the Chengdu factory to increase the sales volume and market share of liberation trucks.
For the cross-domain development of the Chengdu branch in the past two or three years, Zhao Fangkuan, party secretary of the group company, expressed his congratulations to the Chengdu branch and expressed his thanks to the leaders of the municipal government of Chengdu.
