Skoda's global sales increase by 4% in July

According to the sales data released by the Volkswagen Group's official website, in July this year, the Skoda brand delivered a total of 87,000 new vehicles globally, an increase of 4% from the 83,700 units sold in July last year. Among them, Skoda's sales in Europe, India and other regions all have a good performance, and also achieved a 3% increase in China.

From a regional perspective, Skoda’s sales in Europe in July achieved a 6.5% year-on-year increase. In Western Europe, Skoda delivered 34,700 new cars last month, up 6% from the same period last year. In its largest European market, Germany, Skoda continued its sales growth over the same period of last year, from 10,500 vehicles in July last year to 11,000. At the same time, Skoda achieved double-digit growth in Britain, Italy, Austria, Norway, Greece, and Portugal last month.

In Central Europe, Skoda delivered 14,700 new vehicles in July, a year-on-year increase of 6%. In its home market, Skoda’s sales dropped by a year-on-year, totaling 7,100 units, a decrease of 2.5%. In Slovakia, Skoda sold 1,700 vehicles last month, a year-on-year increase of 6%. In Russia, Skoda achieved an increase of 13.6% in sales last month, delivering a total of 5,300 new cars.

In India, Skoda’s sales in July increased by 34%, and the total volume increased from 900 units in the same period last year to 1,200 units.

Last month, Skoda’s sales in China rose 3% year-on-year to 22,000 units. It is reported that mid-term changes in the Ming Rui models will be officially listed on August 22. In addition, the redesigned Octavia also added a new Octavia Travel Edition while continuing the sedan version.

Kodiak monthly sales of 10,000 first Karoq offline

From the model point of view, Skoda Express and Kodiak made a significant contribution to their July sales. Since February of this year, the cumulative sales volume of Skoda's new SUV model Kodiak has reached 37,100 vehicles, marking that the model has successfully entered the global market. After Kodiak, Skoda continued to launch the SUV offensive. On July 26, the Karoq compact car of the Skoda compact SUV was officially off the assembly line and will be on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show held from September 12th to 24th. Skoda said that the first Karoq is expected to be delivered in October this year.
