In the first half of the year, Shunde exported more than 7 million air conditioners

A few days ago, Shunde, Guangdong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau was informed that in the first half of this year, the export price of Shunde air-conditioning exceeded the sum of last year's total, and in the past off-season, the export performance is still strong.

According to statistics, in the first half of this year, the total number of air conditioners exported by Shunde Inspection and Quarantine Bureau was 7.138 million units, with a total amount of US$1.28 billion, which was a year-on-year increase of 69%; and last year, the total number of air conditioners exported by the inspection and Quarantine Bureau was 6.471 million units. The total amount is 1.1 billion U.S. dollars.

Air conditioning is a seasonal consumer product. In the past, it was transferred to the off-season in July. However, according to statistics from the Shunde Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, this year's Shunde air-conditioning exports show a phenomenon of not being off-season in the off-season, and the busy season is still prosperous. Among the four air-conditioner export enterprises in Shunde, the air-conditioner export of Guangdong Midea Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd. accounted for about 90% of the total export volume of Shunde air conditioners. According to statistics, the company's air-conditioners exported 8.45 million units in July this year, which exceeded the 8.12 million units exported last year. In the previous month, it was the off-season's 79 months. Orders remained relatively balanced, showing signs of high season.

According to analysis by relevant personnel of the Shunde Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the export of Shunde air-conditioners is not in the off-season, mainly due to the fact that foreign companies have filled in inventory; at the same time, the rapid growth of emerging markets such as Latin America is also an important reason. However, the analysis pointed out that at present, the air-conditioner of Shunde's exports is still mainly OEM-based, and many companies have begun to try to take their own brands in various ways and sell them to Russia, Ukraine and other Eastern European markets.
