Recently, the ceremony for the completion of the Yangon-Mandalay highway upgrade was held in Naypyidaw, capital of Myanmar. A total of 9 sets of rollers, paver, and grader were developed at the ribbon cutting ceremony. The Minister of Construction of Myanmar, Wu Wenyu, attended the ceremony and he fully affirmed the quality of the expressway built by the Sany equipment.

The Yangon-Mandalay Highway connects Myanmar’s commercial center Yangon, the capital’s Naypyidaw and Mandalay, the second largest city. It is 540 kilometers in length and is the most important economic artery in Myanmar. In 2014, the Myanmar Ministry of Construction Announced the upgrading of Yangon-Mandalay Expressway to improve the frequent traffic accidents on the road section.

The road upgrading project was undertaken by Oriental Highway, Myanmar's famous road construction company. The mechanical equipment used to build the road was all from Sany.
